History
Ask Montana is a collaborative project among libraries of all types throughout the state. From Glendive to Libby, from Missoula to Sidney, public, academic, school and special libraries are joining resources to provide 24/7 information services to their communities.
Funding
Funding comes from a combination of local library funds and the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) monies.
Software and After-Hours Service
The Ask Montana project uses OCLC's QuestionPoint software. After hours coverage is provided by librarians from around the world who are a part of the 24/7 virtual reference cooperative.
